    A little about Mr. Bethka:

    I was born and raised in Marcellus, NY.  It is located just outside of Syracuse. 

    Mr. Bethka's Education:

    I Graduated Marcellus High School in 1996.   The next step was onto Onondaga Community College where I graduated with my Associates degree in Math/Science.  I then went onto SUNY Cortland where I was a member of the National Fraternity PI Kappa Phi.  I graduated in the year 2000 with my degree in physical education.  I then decided to get my Masters from SUNY Cortland as well.  While I was teaching, I finished my Masters in Physical Education with a minor in Curriculum Construction in the year 2005. 

    Teaching:

    I started teaching elementary physical education in the West Genesee School District for about half a year.  While there, I started coaching Football at the J.V. level and Track and Field at the Varsity level.  I then was offered  a job at Solvay Central School District, also in Syracuse.  I taught 4 years at the elementary level and one year at the middle and high school level. Now I am teaching physical education at VEW Primary here at the Bath Central School District. 

    Coaching:

    I was the defense coordinator of the West Genesee Schools J.V. football team for 4 years.  For three years, I was the Varsity Boys and Girls shot put and discus coach also for the West Genesee Schools.  I am the current Varsity Boys and Girls shot put and discus coach here at Bath.     

    A little about Miss Fries:

    I was born and raised in Hammondsport, NY.  I love to travel to warm places, read, and stay healthy by running and playing sports such as soccer and basketball.  I enjoy spending my time with my family, friends, and dogs. 

    Miss Fries’ Education:

    I graduated from Hammondsport High School in 2008.  I then went on to SUNY Brockport where I majored in Physical Education Teacher Education and played collegiate soccer.  After graduating with my Bachelor’s of Science degree in 2012, I completed my Master’s degree at St. John Fisher University studying Childhood Education grades 1-6 and Special Education grades 1-6 in 2014. 

    Teaching:

    I started my teaching career in 2014 at Bradford Central School, teaching 5th and 6th grade math and science. During my time at Bradford I also taught 5th and 6th grade social studies. 

    Since 2018, I have been teaching physical education at VEW Primary here at the Bath Central School District.

    Coaching:

    While at Bradford I coached girls modified basketball for 3 years and girls varsity soccer for 3 years. 
    Here at Haverling I coach girls modified basketball.
