The Bath Central School District is committed to public input and participation in school board meetings in a manner that is consistent with guidance provided by our state and county public health officials. We will not have in-person public participation during this period due to the health and safety risks it poses. You can call into the meeting to provide public comment via Zoom. You can join the Zoom Meeting from a computer, mobile device, or tablet. The Zoom meeting information will be posted on the district’s website for every board meeting as long as needed during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Public Access to Attend Meeting:-
To observe the meeting by video conference, please click the LINK posted within the calendar event. The LINK or URL will be different for each School Board Meeting and will be embedded in the calendar event. To listen to the meeting by phone, please call at the noticed meeting time, phone number XXX-X-XXXX, then enter Webinar ID XXX-XXX-XXX. Each of these numbers will be embedded in the calendar event, then press “#”. If asked for a participant id or code, press #. Public Comment on an Eligible Agenda Item During Virtual Meeting:
There are two ways to make a public comment within the time allotted for public comment on an eligible Agenda item or in a during a time dedicated to public comment.-
To comment by video conference, click the “Raise Your Hand” button in your Zoom session to request to speak when Public Comment is being taken on the eligible Agenda item. You will then be unmuted, during your turn, and allowed to make a public comment. After the allotted time, you will then be re-muted. To comment by phone, you will be prompted to “Raise Your Hand” by pressing “*9” to request to speak when Public Comment is being taken on the eligible Agenda Item. You will then be unmuted, during your turn, and allowed to make a public comment. After the allotted time, you will then be re-muted. PLEASE NOTE: If you wish to comment in a (virtual) public meeting...- The display name needs identify who you are (we need this to identify participants to “unmute” to allow you to speak when it’s your turn)
- If you are joining by telephone; the telephone number you are dialing in to attend the meeting (we need this to identify participants to “unmute” to allow you to speak when it’s your turn)
- Reference the agenda item you are speaking about or what topic (if it is a non-agenda item under the jurisdiction of the Board)
- During the Public Comment period, the Superintendent will let the Board President know who is requesting to speak. Once approved by the Board President, you will have your normal 3 minutes to speak.
