    BATH AREA FAMILY RESOURCE CENTER

    The BAFRC is part of the Community based Resilient  Children and Families  program Under ProAction of Steuben and Yates, Inc..  It works closely with The Bath Central School District and other community groups. 

    The Bath Area Family Resource Center is a school based welcoming hub of support and services for families that is responsive to community needs and interest. It provides support for families  at no cost for participants. 

    BAFRC’s mission is: To build stronger families and communities in the Bath area by providing information, education, and support in an empowering environment.

    The BAFRC envisions: A community where all children and families are strong and thriving.

    The BAFRC is located in the Vernon E. Wightman Primary School

    (Go North on Maple Heights. Turn right on the street after Circle Drive. You will see a blue sign "Family Resource Center". Turn left into the large parking lot. Enter through the doors by the playground).

    The BAFRC provides:     

    1. A drop-in center.  Parents, grandparents, and caregivers are welcome to

                 drop-in WITH their child and play with the toys and activities provided.

     All safety and sanitation procedures are followed. 

    1. Special programming.  Classes, workshops, and family activities are offered

      on topics relating to parenting including, but not limited to, discipline,

      conflict resolution, internet safety, sign language for babies, bullying, nutrition,

      and preparing children for school. Building resilencly  classes for families are also available.
